Range Pocket for Android ยท ArmorySync

Privacy policy

Last Updated: October 5, 2026

1. General Provisions

This Privacy Policy sets out the principles for collecting, processing, and storing user data for the mobile application Range Pocket (the "App"), developed by ArmorySync ("we," "us," or "our"). Our goal is to protect your personal data from unauthorized use while remaining transparent about how Range Pocket features and third-party services function.

Features vary by edition. The descriptions of subscriptions, maps, inventory tools, and A.R.I.C. target analysis apply only when those features are included in the edition you use.

2. Information We Handle

Range Pocket handles records on your device, information sent to ArmorySync's cloud services when cloud features are used, and information processed by service providers.

Local Records

Range Pocket stores records on your device, including range visits, inventory records, training plans, notes, target scan history, photos, and competition setup, rosters, scores, and pending changes. Local competition scoring can be used without signing in.

Cloud features send the relevant records described below to our services. Device backup or device-transfer services may also copy app data according to your operating system and backup settings. Local storage does not mean that no backup or synchronized copy exists elsewhere.

Accounts and Competition Profiles

Signing in uses Amazon Cognito. Account and competition profile information may include your name, email address, account identifier, address, and organization membership or competitor IDs. We use this information to provide account access, connect registrations and results to a profile, and support access across devices.

Match Registration, Scoring, and Synchronization

When you or a match operator use registration, publishing, synchronization, or recovery features, relevant match and competitor information is stored in ArmorySync's cloud services. This includes match setup, registrations, participants, entries or attempts, teams, squads, relays, firing-point assignments, scores, shot details, penalties, participant outcomes, and result records.

Depending on the fields supplied, competitor information can include name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, membership or competitor IDs, classification, division, categories, affiliations, and notes. Match operators can enter this information on behalf of competitors who do not have Range Pocket accounts. Operators should provide only information needed for the match and its reporting requirements and ensure they are authorized to submit it.

Match Control and Audit Records

Match-control and scoring audit records support coordination between devices and review of changes. Records can include the affected competitor and entry, match, stage or squad, action and timestamp, previous and updated values, notes or reasons, acting account identifier or label, and the scoring device's app-generated identifier and name. These records accompany relevant synchronization operations and support owner-facing audit review.

Public Results and Reports

Publishing a match or its results can make information available on ArmorySync's public website and leaderboard displays. Depending on the match and result format, this can include competitor names or numbers, classification, division, categories, team or affiliation, location information, scores, shot counts, penalties, and competition status. Cloud synchronization and public publication are distinct operations; match operators control the match's publication settings.

Match operators can export and share reports using the device's sharing features. Reports may contain competitor identity, membership or competitor IDs, address information, and scores appropriate to the selected reporting format, including reports intended for a governing body such as the NRA. Recipients receive the files the operator chooses to share. Copies downloaded or shared outside ArmorySync are not removed by signing out or uninstalling the App.

Bluetooth Shot Timers

Bluetooth permissions allow Range Pocket to discover and connect to compatible shot timers. The App uses device names and identifiers, connection information, and shot times to provide timer controls and shot-string analysis. Older Android versions also require location permission for Bluetooth scanning; timer scanning is not used to determine your location. A timer value that you apply to a score becomes part of that score and follows its saving, synchronization, and reporting behavior.

A.R.I.C. Target Analysis

When you choose to use A.R.I.C. target analysis, the target photo you select, optional notes you provide, and limited related context from the current screen may be transmitted to our AWS-hosted AI processing service solely to generate the analysis result.

ArmorySync does not store the submitted target image or the generated A.R.I.C. result on our servers. The generated result is returned to the App and, when valid, may be saved locally on your device so you can review it later in Scan History or on the related visit detail.

Service Provider Data

Range Pocket uses industry-standard SDKs and cloud services to provide essential features. These services may process the following data:

Precise Location: Collected via the Google Maps SDK to provide map functionality and display your position within the App.

Purchase History: Collected via Adapty to manage your subscriptions, verify receipts, and grant access to premium features.

Device Identifiers: Unique IDs, such as IP addresses or SDK-specific identifiers, may be collected by Google Maps, Adapty, AWS, and related service providers for functionality, security, analytics, and fraud prevention.

Diagnostics & Crash Logs: Technical data about App performance and crashes may be collected to help ArmorySync improve stability.

3. Purposes of Data Processing

ArmorySync and our service providers use data for:

App Functionality: To authenticate accounts; manage competition profiles, registrations, match setup, and scoring; synchronize and recover match data; coordinate scoring devices; produce results and reports; connect shot timers; and, in editions that include them, display maps, provide location-based features, manage paid subscriptions, and provide optional A.R.I.C. target analysis.

Match Integrity: To trace scoring and participant-status changes, support match-owner review, and resolve synchronization conflicts.

Analytics: To understand how Range Pocket performs and how many users are active.

Fraud Prevention & Security: To protect against unauthorized subscription use, monitor service health, and maintain App safety.

4. Data Sharing and Service Providers

ArmorySync does not sell your personal data. We use service providers to operate Range Pocket. Competition data is also made available through match access, public publication, and operator-selected reports as described above.

Google (Google Maps Platform): Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Adapty: Subject to Adapty's Privacy Policy.

Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Cognito, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, AWS AppSync, AWS Lambda, Amazon CloudWatch, and Amazon Bedrock: Used for authentication, cloud competition records and score files, backend infrastructure, operational monitoring, and optional A.R.I.C. target analysis.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Local Data: You can remove local records through available in-app controls or by clearing app data or uninstalling the App. This does not remove records already synchronized to the cloud, exported files, or copies in operating-system backups or on other devices. Manage device backups through your operating system or backup provider.

Cloud Competition Data: Account profiles, registrations, match records, scores, results, and audit information are stored separately from your local installation to support match operations, cross-device recovery, result history, and review. Signing out, deleting a local match, or uninstalling the App does not automatically delete these cloud records. Contact us about correcting or deleting information associated with your account or participation in a match, including records entered by a match operator.

A.R.I.C. Processing Data: ArmorySync does not retain target images or generated target analysis results on our servers after the request is processed. Your saved scan history and visit-detail analysis results remain local to your device unless you delete them or uninstall the App.

Service Provider Data: Purchase history, identifiers, diagnostics, and infrastructure logs may be retained by service providers for as long as necessary to provide subscriptions, security, analytics, and operational monitoring.

Account and Data Deletion Requests

You have the right to request the deletion of your data. To request the deletion of your account and associated data, including purchase history managed by Adapty where applicable, please contact ArmorySync at support@armorysync.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

Include the email address associated with your account and enough information to identify the relevant match or records. Do not send your password. We may need to verify your identity and clarify the scope of your request, particularly for shared match records involving other competitors. Any information that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations will be explained when handling the request. Deleting the App or requesting account deletion does not itself cancel a store subscription; manage subscription cancellation through the store where you subscribed.

6. Security

We ensure that all data transmitted to our service providers is encrypted in transit using modern cryptographic protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
